Aquatic therapy is a beneficial way of completing therapy. It is fun, low risk and we can use the water to benefit our movement and development.
Aquatic therapy can assist with the following:
Aquatic therapy would be completed in a community pool.
DMI is a form of therapy that focuses on promoting automatic movement patterns. This assists us in progressing your child’s gross motor milestones such as rolling, crawling, standing, and walking.
If your child has motor delay, then DMI may be an appropriate treatment.
Please enquire to determine if your child
would benefit from DMI.
If you or your child is a current NDIS participant, we can provide services through your funding.
If you think you or your child is eligible for NDIS funding, we can complete an initial assessment and a report to support your application. This will be billed at our private rate.
Little Leap Physio can provide physiotherapy services to all participants who have NDIS funding that are Self Managed or Plan Managed (not NDIA agency managed).

However, we can see children who have NDIS funding that are self-managed, or plan managed.
Our initial appointment is a great opportunity for us to gain a good understanding of what is going on and what you would like to get out of physiotherapy with Little Leap Physio.
We will start with a detailed discussion about your child and their therapy needs. We will complete a thorough assessment of your child's movement and development and will spend time talking through what the assessment results mean.
We like to ensure we have a good clear focus with our therapy, and therefore, we will chat with you about what functional goals we are working towards. This is a fantastic time to tell us all of your worries and to ask any questions you may have.
Every child has different needs and may require a different pace, meaning a full assessment may take place over more than 1 session.
The more information you can provide us with regarding your child's health, the greater our understanding is from the beginning.
This will vary depending on the nature of the appointment.
An initial appointment will be between 60-90 minutes
A review appointment can range from 30-60 minutes.
It is important to note that within your appointment time, 10 minutes will be used for note writing.
Please contact Little Leap Physio for further details on fees.
We will be able to provide you with the prices appropriate for your child’s needs. Prices vary depending on location of appointment (travel fees) and length of appointment.
Our NDIS fees are based on the current NDIS pricing arrangements and price limits.
We charge for direct time working with the client and indirect time spent writing notes, writing reports, and talking to keyworkers, teachers, and other health professionals. Indirect time will always be discussed with you before being carried out and billed for.
Please contact Little Leap Physio for further details on costs per session.
